Well as most of you know Kylie is going in on Monday the 15th for surgery. She is going to have tubes put in her ears and have her tonsils and adenoids taken out. The poor little thing has had multiple ear infections and may episodes of tonsillitis. So we decided it was time to do something about it. Anyway today I went in for her pre-op appointment. They gave me all the information about the surgeries and I was doing fine until the doctor said they would put her to sleep and then put a breathing tube in her. At that point I became very teary and very nervous. I know she is going to be just fine but even though it is a simple 45minute operation it is very hard to know they are going to put her completely under general anesthetic. I recovered well from that little breakdown but I am very nervous for when they take her out of my arms the day of the surgery. I know she will be scared and want me and I will be scared also but I will have to be strong for her! I know I can do it! (I'll wait to breakdown until she is out of sight and hearing range.) It seems so weird to think about when people have said their child has had this done. Because I can remember thinking that it is so simple and no big deal. Man what a new perspective I have now when it is my own child. When it is your own child no matter how simple and easy things might seem it is always very scary. Now I know how they must have felt. So if you could think of Kylie in your prayers over the next little while that would be great!

The polar express
waiting patiently for the conductor to punch their tickets and make is "snow".
Oh the anticipation of seeing Santa..................
Jordyn with Santa. She had no problem jumping over to sit on Santa's lap. She didn't care that he was a weird looking stranger.
Jordyn was really into the bell she got from Santa. I think she was just stalling so Santa would not leave. She really liked Santa and wasn't afraid at all. I was very surprised since her sister has never liked Santa.
This is as close as Kylie would get to Santa. She is sitting on my leg right next to him but as you can see she is leaning way back. She needs lots of personal space I guess! But at least she was able to talk to him a little and tell him what she wanted.
Kylie getting her bell from Santa. I think she was finally starting to warm up to him but she still wanted her distance in case she had to make a mad dash for the exit!
Jordyn was young enough that she was able to be a lap child. She didn't want any part of that and found her own seat! Sorry this one is a little out of order it should have been the first pic.
We went on our yearly trip the polar express. It is a train ride in mount hood where they reenact parts of the movie the polar express. The train takes you to the "north pole" where Santa and his elves get on the train. Then Santa sits with every child and gives them a bell. This is the second time we have went and it was a lot of fun. This year was so much better because both kids had a blast. Kylie is still afraid of Santa but did manage to tell him what she wanted for Christmas. Jordyn on the other hand is in love with Santa. She sat on his lap and talked to him and said Hi Santa about 100 times and then when he had to leave she said bye Santa about 100 times.
Halloween Day/Night
Finally... Well lets just start with Halloween
Okay so finally I am updating my blog! Man what a whirl wind. We are in the new house and we love it! The girls love all the room to play! So anyway, I had a little halloween party for the little ones at work and I invited the neigbors. It was a lot of fun. We did crafts had some lunch and decorated cookies. Here is a few shots from the party!
